TOTO PARA
Toto Para, nestled in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, is home to the Toto tribe, among India's smallest indigenous communities. Recognized as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), their distinctive cultural identity is safeguarded by the government. The Toto people cherish their heritage, manifest in their language—Toto—a Tibeto-Burman tongue, complete with its own script. Their rich traditions, rituals, and beliefs set them apart, forming a vibrant tapestry within the region's cultural landscape.
